Blog

This is a blog about Alderley Edge by a chap who passed away on Friday. Roger was a good example of a good blogger about the countryside. We all have to go one day, hopefully just after the last blog, like Roger! You can enjoy his blog here.

Today here it is snowy, and the hills around have turned white. Not much on the ground though. Here are some photos from last year at this time....

These are such beautiful pictures, Michael and I really love the one of Hanne standing in silent contemplation. I hope that's what she was doing ;)
I admire your pragmatic philosophy on life, ending. I am off to visit Roger's final post.

Strange, I actually was in Alderly Edge and my ex-boyfriend comes from there!

I used to read him in the Guardian, there are various other people doing these countryside diaries; our local one is on Wenlock Edge.

Wonderful photos, sorry about the snow, unless you like it.

You are right about the only name on tins of syrup being Lyle, although the lion and the bees are still there. My sugar pack also still say Tate &Lyle.

I read the Guardian blog with interest - you are right, it is an excellent example of what a blog should be. With blogging being such a recent format, nobody seems to have got around to producing the stylebook yet, when they do that particular post should find a place.
