Flowers at the end of June

Clematis with Swallowtail Butterfly ( one of 550 species! )
These are typical flowers for the last week in June here in Penticton as Maria Sharapova battles for a place in the semi-finals at Wimbledon. She did win and now plays Sabine Lisicki from Germany for a place in the final. Tennis is so hard on the body and the brain at this level only the young need apply....

Lovely images! I am not a tennis fan but my FIL is. He remains glued to his chair while Wimbledon is on and we are given a running commentary in his daily email to all of us. Not bad for 94 years of age!

Blimey, you must have posted very recently; I was watching a bit of tennis just after lunch. I don't spend much time on tennis, Beloved does, though.

I'm having a day off from the garden today. When I went round earlier I saw a lot of dead heading needs doing. Ah well . . .

Hello, these are beautiful photos. The clematis and butterfly make lovely partners.
I'm having an enjoyable time looking through your blog - and came here from Desiree's.
I particularly enjoy seeing the Linden Gardens through your eyes.
