New Greenery

Greenery. It keeps on appearing. New shoots, buds, flowers, leaves. Different trees. Some have fully developed leaves, like the poplars, but others still wear their winter mantle of dark brown twigs and branches, with little buds only just now starting to show.

More New Maple Leaves
Here are a few examples of what I mean, taken on our walk in Okanagan Falls Provincial Park yesterday. It is hard sometimes telling a dead tree from a late one. You just have to wait and see!

Where does it all come from - all that greenery. I have never quite understood. (Be warned : this is a philosophical rather than a botanical question)

Your photos today are especially beautiful. Wherever the green comes from (botanical or philosophical), I love it!
